Many thanks Mark, I was staring at this scratching my head, but that made
it very clear, and I will pass this along. Glad to see it's not something
I botched up on my side..

Thanks, but wait why am I getting resolution of the IP back? Is that
actually not valid, and it should be drilling down further but can't?

ter, and I have taken the time
as well to update my slaves/public servers, so it's rc2 on everything as of
this message..

I will grab the port update in a few, and give it a run..Worked
overnight last night, so hadn't had a chance to grab the sources, so great
timing for me..

d think that
doing a full reload on all zones, would have the same exact effect as
reloading only one, but apparently not.

the signed
zones to update, but you must specify the zone, just doing a "rndc reload"
to reload everything results in no update being performed on the signed
zone, and even a hard restart of the named process doesn't cause an update.

I know for sure I am running rc1 as well:
# rndc status
version: 9.9.0rc1
[snip]

#x27; would get all zones, and even if that didn't, a complete restart of
named should for sure pick up the changes. This doesn't appear to be the
case, as I tried both ways, and nothing would update my signed zone till I
did a reload on the specific zone, in a specific view.

H
reload should reload all
zones.

9.8.1 port, and it works like a charm, but if this
inline signing is the key to supporting DNSSEC and being able to edit things
like I have been used to doing for years, then I will build it by hand if
needed..

Thanks, I will head on over and take a look, sounds like something I should
be interested in.Now if FreeBSD would just add 9.9 to the ports
collection, it would save me from having to build it by hand..
