Hi,
Now that I have used Bacula a full cycle (60 days) I have a question:
If backups are done Full (which expires after 60 days).
Then Diff each week and Incre each day where there is no Diff
Then restoring from any given date going back 60 days is not a problem
UNTIL the initial Full is replaced

Hello Esteemed Bacula People!
I have backups on a 90-120 day cycles with full/diff/incr from a pool of
machines to
a Director machine. The pool of machines also has a local script backup
to secondary
hard drive space which I would like to "convert" to bacula backups
instead, so each

Hi,
Has anyone changed from GZIP compression to LZO for disk backups and
tracked the
performance / disk space usage difference? Any advocates out there?
Anyone of the
opinion it is the only way to go.
Any hints appreciated thanks,

fyi - when I upgraded bacula from 5.0.3 to 5.2.1 I upgraded the Director
and then ran a backup
of a 5.0.3 client just out of curiosity, and it backed up just fine. So
I strongly doubt it is a version
problem, as also your log says is the latest version:

Hi,
Thanks, this looks really good! Is there a quick/easy way to disable to
console and/or other
parts of it? I am really leery of opening another port or access point
to any production consoles.
Thanks,

Hi,
Has anyone tried to use an SSD drive to house the MySQL database for
Bacula and understand the
performance differences, if any? I am wondering if it will provide a
significant speed boost to running it
on disk or not. Any clues might be very helpful, thanks.
