For the life of me, I don't understand what is wrong. I am attempting
to build bacula-1.38.11-3.src.rpm on a freshly installed Red Hat EL4
box. I have left the bacula.spec file untouched, and attempt to build
with:
rpmbuild -ba --define "build_rhel4 1" \
--define "build_mysql4 1" \
ARGGGH
I hate it when that happens. One minute after I posted, I read in the
release notes to use --define "nobuild_gconsole 1". So, I am trying
that.
DOH!

I guess there is always modifying a .SPEC file to meet your needs. As the

Hello,
I'm planning to configure my backup environment so that most of the server-fd's
can access the storage daemon via regular Intranet, but a couple of them, with
higher backup requirements, would use instead a private (gigabit?)
backup-LAN that
is connected to the server-sd&dir via a second NI
Hi!
I may not have the answer for you but I might have a plausible explanation.
I do a lot backups over the internet and some of them are quite large.
Sometimes when I do the fullbackups they fail a few times. The reason
for that is that the connection is not maintained through the entire
time

No, this is not happening. Every time I try to MOUNT using bconsole,
that message appears.

Hello,
This may be slightly O.t. if so please respond privately. I've just got
tls going with my unix clients. I'd like now to extend this to two windows
xp machines, but they don't have anything for generating keys. If anyone has
xp boxes doing tls i'd be interested in your procedure.
Thank
Hiya,
I've got a weird issue that I haven't been able to solve. I've looked
through the mail lists and I've turned up the debug level (today, so I
don't have any information at this point)
This is what I'm seeing:
The director daemon is hanging. The process looks like it's running.

hello,
So I had another go at this, the bacula-dir on CentOS 4.3 just does
not like OpenSSL, even with your build instructions, these are mine,
only very slightly modified - change email addresses and removed

Hello,
I've implemented tls connections with a bacula 1.38.11 server and Unix
clients, all worked well. My problem is i've discovered winbacula v1.38.10
does not support tls, so i've pretty much just locked out four machines. The
issue i believe is between the windows file daemon and the sto
Do these errors ring a bell with anyone. I've been having trouble with
this catalog database off and on for a few weeks now, but this is the
first tangible error I've seen. (Until now, the dir has froze up or
exited mysteriously or exhibited other mysterious behavior)

This has been discussed in the past.
Basically., I need to switch off spooling for specific backup levels
(full) while continuing to maintain it for others (differential,
incrementals)
Someone posted a bacula-dir.conf Job directive which did that, but it
isn't showing in the manual.

Hello all!
I'm trying to get the wxConsole component of bacula to compile on my
OS X box, but I'm running into errors:
Joe-Rhodes:/Users/joe/Desktop/bacula-1.38.11/src/wx-console root# make
/usr/bin/g++ -c -DHAVE_WXCONSOLE -I/usr/lib/wx/include/mac-ansi-
release-2.6 -I/usr/include/wx-2.6 -D

But that would also restore a lot of deleted mail into my Maildirs which
I would like to avoid.

Because that would be around 70G of data.

Most likely you upgraded you SQL engine but did not rebuild Bacula against the
new client libraries.
