There is no problem to restore some files to windows
just make sure that you are backup the dump files of the SQL (i didn't
checked it with live database)
I already make some restores to Windows and there are no problem with it
The only "problem" is that you can't restore the entire windows

d:\\public\\restored, rather than single forward slash. Can anyone
confirm the proper slash type?

I think the problem is here:
Where = C:/\tmp
replace to
Where = C:/tmp
No backslash is acceptable even restoring to windows file system.

Looked into my daily incrementals (So I don't have to change tapes ;-)
and selected one directory with two files.
The dir was c:/Programme/F-Secure Anti-Virus/Common
I started a restore job using the job ID.
I cd'ed to C:/Programme/F-Secure Anti
