Are you absolutely certain that your ethernet cards are set properly? Often an improperly negotiated link speed or duplex can cause exactly this symptom. I know you mentioned other things that appear to rule it out, but check that first regardless -- you might be surprised. =Ryan Andrei Mikha

Yeah, sorry, forgot to mention setup both sides server/client are gentoo boxes with 1.36.3 version of bacula. They both have 1 gig of ram, client is a dual PIII 1.1Ghz and server is AMD 2400+. There shouldn't be any issues with the network card performance, as i've mentioned that i can download fi
