A server crashed here after an upgrade/reboot. Much mayhem and sleep
deprivation ensued. Ugh.
Bacula came through with most of the files needed, but restored
everything as root:wheel. This was from running bconsole, running
restore, picking the Job IDs, and selecting files.
The UID/GIDs did not e

I recently upgraded bacula to version 3.0.1 on Debian 5.0. I use MySQL
5.0. I initialized a totally new database when I upgraded. I'm running
a few test jobs, and having a problem. When a client is offline and I
get a "host not found" error, the job status never changes from "R"
and everything stal

Hi,
I am still busy trying to run through the recommended tape tests in the
Bacula documents. I am trying to gauge right now what process most of

Ah well, at least it's still on the list somewhere. I should point out
that #29 on the voting list would be more useful in conjunction with
cross-sd copy jobs.

Hey,
I had problems restoring files until I found the solution in the docu, to
be specific:
"You selected one or more files in a directory, but did not select the
directory entry to be restored. In that case, if the directory is not on
disk Bacula simply creates the directory with some default
Dave,
A really interesting question this is. I can't answer it.
But, I would ask you this: if the spooling time elapsed is near to the
despool time, then why spool at all?
Our setup was set up originally with all jobs spooled (and we have the same

Hello,
I'm trying to configure bacula to fit special needs:
- I'm using FileStorage to store backups of multiple clients
- backups should only be kept on disk for a specified amount of time. The
amount has to be specified per client.
- older backups should be au

Hello !
Well, I'm since months now on that project, but nevertheless I like
bacula and I agree that it's hardware issues that I'm experiencing.
I have the same settings as you on the library. But I noticed a weird
thing : the library stops responding to the Web Access after a few days

Yes, i have configure the /etc/sudoers but it doesn't work.
If I try to configure the Autochanger (in the Webinterface), they show
me an error which calls:

Storagelist too.

Hi,
I want to build only Bacula libtools. For eg, I need to build only bextract,
bls, bscan, etc. that gets build when we build the SD.
I looked into the Makefile, but looks like the libtool building is closely
linked with SD build.
It would be of great help, if someone could provide some p

Yes, I definitively second that. I am in contact with Quantum on this
matter. Let's see, what they come up with.
