I'm trying to back up a drive on a windows server which also contains a
web directory. Client Bacula-fd and server daemons are all version 2.2.8.
Bacula's server components are all running on OpenSuse 10.2
Any help anybody can provide would be greatly appreciated. To me this

Hi all,
This is slightly off topic. I've been using an Exabyte Magnum 224
autoloader with 12-slot magazine and single LTO-3 drive with Bacula
2.2.7for several months now.
I recently purchased an additional magazine to increase the number of tapes
in a given cycle.
According to Exabyte I shoul

Hi,
I could try to do do that :)
By now, I've done a translation of bacula-web to Catalan. Here I attach it.

Hi all,
New installation of Bacula, and I'm a new user; I apologize if there's
something that I overlooked.
Bacula is installed in testing mode on Open SUSE 10.2. Version is 2.2.8.
The device is a Quantum SuperLoader3 with one DLT-S4 tape drive.
I ran btape - test and it worked fine, and I cont
Dear Bruno,
You mean that xfs will save ACLs and extended data together with the file
instead of meta-data? And without special configuration, Bacula will backup
all these "meta-data" together with the files?
Let me have a trial later today.
Cheers,
Jacky

Hi Jordi,
There isn't any programming code about SQLite in bacula-web. Maybe wouldn't be
difficult implement it, Any volunteer? ;-)

Juan Luis

Hi,
I'm still trying to work this out. In looking into the database directly
it seems, that the records in the table bacula.client persist.
Is there a recommended way of how to remove clients from the catalog? I
don't really like to edit the mysql tables manually. In the delete
section I can onl

XFS as this attribute inside and are perfectly saved by bacula. So they are
restored also as needed.
You should give it a try on a xfs partition

Dear Bruno,
But how does the use of XFS help solve the problem on backup of extended
attributes using bacula?

Hi all,
Before the full backup this weekend, I had the following:
- Scratch pool:
T0008 (in drive)
T0009
- weekly pool:
T0003
When the Job completed, T0003 was expired and moved
back to the Scratch pool, T0008 was used for the backup
and moved to the weekly pool, but T0009 was also moved

If you use differing priorities, only one job will run at a time.

This SF.net email is sponsore
From bacula pdf manual:
...
"This value is checked and the "Used" status is set only at the end of a
job that writes to the particular
volume, which means that even though the use duration may have expired,
the catalog entry will not be
updated until the next job that uses this volume is run."

I have some problems running check_bacula (compiled fine from 2.2.8 sources)
When I run "./check_bacula -H -D dir -M nagios -K "
I get:
BACULA CRITICAL - Director Status: .status dir current

What am I doing wrong here?
Have a nice day,
