Hi,
I am seeing this problem intermittently on two systems using bacula -
both using VXA2 tape drives connected to Adaptec aic7892 SCIS cards.
On the the odd occasion, I will insert a tape and attempt to mount it,
but bacula will respond with [1] (below).

Martin,
Thank you for checking my logic. I wonder if it would be worthwhile to the
Bacula community to have some simple diagrams that accompany the User's
Guide, such a diagram that shows a timeline and how Bacula Jobs operate
along such a timeline? I'd be pleased contribute some graphics to the

Creating a separate job would not be easy as our system uses a management
interface to add unique clients (and not independent jobs). Also using xcopy
might destroy some of the permissions (as this is a home directory). Thanks
for the suggestions but these are not suitable fixes for me.

Hello,
I must run dbcheck on my bacula database (postgresql backend) because of
"sql_create.c:767 More than one Path!" warning on every file backed up
(don't know where it comes from, actually).
The operation is extremely slow, it ran for the all week-end and only
deleted 2000 from the 51000 dup

Hi,
I am puzzled by this report from bacula 2.2.4 (upgraded yesterday), could
someone explain me what this could possibly mean? How come there is zero FD
bytes but non-zero SD bytes?

Hello *,
Bacula 2.0.3/Etch, backup on DVD, full backup takes 5 DVDs. Full backup is

Hello Mike,
you've to send the correct protocol to say "hello" to the bacula-daemons.
you could have a look at
bacula-2.x.x/examples/nagios/nagios_plugin_check_bacula.tgz
this is a plugin for i've written to check state of the daemons (and can be
used by all monitoring programs which can start e
I'm setting up the monitor 'hobbit' to check that the bacula
daemons are up and accepting connections. What 'hello' message
can I use that will not cause an error to be sent from the
director? I'v used 'Hello hobbit calling' and 'Hello *UserAgent*
calling'... both cause error messages.
