Already done, it's Debian bug 384433, which another user ran into as
well. I mailed this guy directly earlier this week, but nev
Windows has a Built-in group for Backup Operators. I would bet you could
create a user and add them to this group and you'd be set.

It will work, probably, but only the most basic of functionality. I've
seen people say that Incrementals don't work as expected, and other such
problems. I don't think it's worth the trouble, since upgrades are
fairly easy on FD machines.

For those on FreeBSD, sysutils/bacula-server-devel is not yet
updated. There is a PR waiting to be committed. In the meantime,
you can get the port skeleton here:
http://www.langille.org/tmp/bacula-server-devel-1.39.20-
20060822.tgz (9.5KB)
Just untar it, cd into it, and make install.

I am setting up bacula with an Exabyte EZ17A autoloader.
The autoloader has a sony tape drive (works perfectly) and a 7 tapes

I know, I have to issue a mt -f /dev/nst0 offline to put the drive offline.
When I start the btape command fill with multiple tape I receive the

Hello!
I try to make a backup with the Windows-Client (current Version 1.38.11 or so).
First, Windows wasn't able to start the service because the configuration
contained unix-like paths. Then I changed the paths like "C:\...".
Now, there ist no error message when I start the service but the c

and doing 'dpkg-buildpackage -d -b' and then installing just the
bacula-director-mysql package, I can now startup the bacula director
properly.
So to me it looks to be a complete packaging problem, and not a Bacula
problem. H
This morning I'm trying out 'bls' to verify the contents
of a tape that was written to last night by bacula. This
is one of my final checks for moving bacula to production.
Executing 'bls' I get:

Hello,
I am sending again this S.O.S. because I had no response about it.
I have a Bacula setup to run 5 jobs each night.
They're scheduled at 23:00, 23:05, 23:10, 23:15, 23:20, so that bacula
will queue each job to run after the previous one is done.
The full queue is normally finished around 6:
