hi,
I have Bacula 1.36.2 running on Debian, in a windows XP network.
I run the 1.38.10 windows client, and making backups works great.
I can restore files using bconsole on the Linux box.
wx-console seems to work normally ("status all", etc works ok), and i can select
a backup in the restore-tab o

Hello
I'm trying to have Bacula automatically restore the backups from one
client to another after the first client's backup has completed. I can
do the restores by using the run command with bconsole on the job that
does the restore, but for some re

Hello Mark,
Thanks for taking the time to write up the Feature Request, and I see you put
a good deal of effort into it. However, I'm not really too enthusiastic
about this request (though I see certain merits) for three reasons:
1. Bacula already handles running out of spool space quite well.

I sent this (edited now) email to the maintainer of the Debian

Hmm when I use the paths with "/" (unix-like) I receive the error
1067 "The process has been unexpected canceled."
I haven't the error when I use the paths with "\" (windws-like).

Hi All,
I have the same error messages on Debian etch with mysql 5.0.24-1, and
bacula-director-mysql 1.38.11-1.
Restarting doesn't seem to solve the problem.
I switched on mysql logging, and only the connection made by bacula-dir
can be seen, and no
RunBeforeJob worked perfectly, thanks guys!
The only problem I encountered is while trying to use:
RunScript {
}
I got a message at startup like "RunScript directive not permitted...".
Using RunBeforeJob instead works. Is it a bug?
Thanks again,
Frank

I have WinXP SP2. The Bacula service has the path to exceutable
:"c:\Tools\bacula\bin\bacula-fd.exe" /service -c
"c:\Tools\bacula\bin\bacula-fd.conf ".
System has Full Control to the directory "c:\Tools\bacula\".
The bacula.trace says:
cassiopeia-fd: ../../lib/jcr.c:154 write_last_jobs seek to 1
This is an ideal use of the RunBeforeJob directive. Example:
RunBeforeJob = "/usr/bin/smbmount ///SharedDocs
/var/bacula/mnt/ -o
'username=myusername,password=mypassword'"

Hi,
I would like to use a samba share on a remote windows machine as storage
location to write backups of a linux server to.
It's basically a nas with only smb interface. The problem is that this
device is turned on manually when backup is launched, then turned off
after it is finished, so I nee

Hi guys,
I've a question about the bacula running on Linux.
A network administrator asked me to create a share for each PC
(running Windows NT, 2000 Server, 2003 Server and XP pro) with
Administrator rights.
It is true? or better: it is necessary? I think that a normal user

I use bacula 1.38.11 on Debian Sarge with a LTO2 drive.
Sometimes I have to run backup during the day and I use software

My question is : can I custom the script which launch bacula with the
