No. They're not followed.

I'm trying to set up an admin job to prune volumes at a predefined point of
time. However, it does not prune the database entries although the admin job
runs. Running prune command from the console works ok, which me

The short version is that Restricted Consoles should probably be put into
their restricted catalogs, instead of the default catalog.
The "use" command (if allowed by ACL) does exactly the right thing.
Perhaps a hack is for restricted consoles to issue a "use" on login?

The following patch can be used to update the bacula-server-devel port on
FreeBSD to use the latest published 1.39 version.

Note that you have to manually remove files/patch-configure. I know

A fairly common issue for freebsd users is that btraceback is disabled.
The following patch re-enables this properly for the freebsd port.

This below is a false report. My client ACL was wrong.
Everything else about this problem remains true, just ignore this one
report. The ACL was effective!

This is a test of a totally quiet bacula server. I noticed this while
adjusting client configurations. This shows how easy it is to replicate,

So I've poked around all day trying to track down an overly large backup,
and I've realized something. I can't seem to find any useful way to get a
list of jobs that are stored in a given volume / media. Even using direct
SQL, I can't seem to find a join command that will say
