No, I'm not backing up any remote clients at this time. Nor do I have
plans to do so
Hi Phil,
Thanks for your reply. I was planning on using tls for encryption. Given
that it seems as if stunnel would be doing double duty encrypting the
tunnel. Do you have a similar setup?
Thanks.
Dave.

Hello,
I'm trying to implement cross-internet bacula backups. And i'm trying to
keep this as simple as i can. All servers and clients are running freebsd
and bacula 1.38.5 via ports. On the client box which has a public IP address
i've got bacula-fd running and port 9102 open from the firewa
Hi Bill,
Thanks for the clarification, that makes sense. As for my backup media

Hi,
I'm new to bacula.
I've setup the server (dir, sd, fd) on a linux server, and tried to backup a
windows machine (xp).
The backup and restore worked fine, except one problem.
Shortcuts didn't get restored.
When I browsed the in-memory-dir-tree (in bconsole), there too, were no

Hello Ryan,
Thanks for your reply. I'm not backing up to tape yet, just disk. The disks
on both the server and client are IDE not scsi unfortunately. I'm using a
mysql4 database also installed via freebsd ports. Not sure how to test drive
speed, but i am not spooling, should i be? When a job ru

Hello,
I was running some network backups and am getting some discrepancies. I
was wondering if this was something to worry about. The backup server is a
freebsd6 machine running bacula 1.38.5 via ports, the client in question is
a windows xpsp2 box running bacula 1.38.5 also.
The error c
I have a number of Bacula servers to set up and decided to use Knoppix as
the distro. Knoppix already comes with the Bacula client, but I want to
make it the director and storage box. I attempted to rebuild the src rpm
to do this, but it complained about the spec file. Is there an easy way to
do a

Hi All-
I'm looking to upgrade to a new tape library, and am looking
at the "Overland Neo 2000" with Ultrium 3 drives. I saw on the
bacula web page that it's listed as 'supported', but with LTO-1
drives.
Is anyone out there using Bacu
