QJackMMC is a Qt based program that can connect to a device or program that
emits MIDI Machine Control (MMC) and allow it to drive JACK transport, which
in turn can control other programs like Ardour, Hydrogen, and Rosegarden.
JackCtlMMC is a slightly simpler command-line version of QJackMMC.

Use `modprobe snd-emu10k1`. There are several modules that snd-emu10k1
needs loaded first (like snd), insmod will not automatically load these,
however modprobe will.
That should do it, not that I'm an expert.

Apart from your mic issues, are there any other problems?
In particular, I saw older postings saying that the

I find myself switching between mouse-mode-object and mouse-mode-zoom
quite a lot, pressing z and o respectively. I'd like to be able to
just press one key and go to previous mouse mode. Kinda like switching
between windows in kde or buffers in emacs.
How to I accomplish that?

Hi Christian,
Could you be more specific about what isn't working for you? I myself have
substituted the dsnoop/dmix stuff I told you about for a simple route plugin
(due to some GStreamer weirdness going on with those plugins), but the asoundrc
I sent you allowed me to break my Delta 1010 into

This is the basic pipeline (I left out queue's you'd need for
multithreading etc.), but it should be a pretty decent way of doing
what you're asking.
