sound. After building all drivers, lib, and utils, I try inserting the
module snd-intel8x0 driver on Red Hat 8.0 Linux 2.4.18-14 but:

Thanks for the reply. I still have not configured the drivers for my onboard
sound device. As of now, during booting, the kernel prompts "Unable to configure
sound device" or so. Does the latest ALSA 0.9.0rc6 zip files contain the
drivers for AD 1981A? Also, how do i configure the drivers

Ive just Installed the Alsa-0.9 drivers for my SB Live 5.1 emu101k (on
RH 7.2) and everything went fine (apart from the alsa-oss-0.9.0beta9
ones, error during the 'make'), I presume I don't need these??
Ive also ran .snddevices
Ive used the following command to load the SB drivers:

I have a Mandrake 7.2 with the kernel 2.2.17. I want to install the ALSA
drivers 0.5.11.
I run "make" after configuring the compilation of the drivers with this line :
./configure --with-cards=ens1370 --with-oss=yes
I get the a lots of warnings such as :
../include/compat_22.h:12: war
