problem, also with konsole. Workaround: "TERM=vt100 alsamixer" works,
though not in color. Running from the console works fine. You might try
upgrading Konsole and/or ncurses.

here's no way to get digital 5.1 output in
Windows games, since the card doesn't have an AC-3 encoder. Since it is
possible to get DVD surround sound output with analog (it does have an
AC-3 decoder and outputs for all six channels), I'd like
is the same in both aplay (aplay -Dsurround51 file.wav) and
xine's alsa plugin.
This is with both the latest beta (0.9.0beta8a) and a version I pulled out
of CVS only a few hours ago.
Has anyone else had this problem? No clue here.
