Gah, after days of on again, off again fiddling I _finally_ figured out how to
get my silly SB Live! card to record from the line input (AC97 capture,
doh...) Now I need to do some system calibration from the analog domain to
digital. There's got to be a better way to adjust capture levels tha

Well, I've been through the archives on this one and still come up with
nothing. I've tried to get alsamixer and amixer to set the input capture to
Line on my Soundblaster MP3+5.1 card while running alsa rc6 or rc7 to no
avail. The card works fine if I boot into WinXP. I've loaded the
