I'm playing around with an old ISA "Gravis UltraSound Classic (3.7)"
with 512K onboard. PCM works; how do I use MIDI with this card?
aplaymidi -l tells me:
PortClient name Port name
14:0Midi Through Midi Through Port-0
16:0GF1

No. Programs look for the alsa-lib include files, not for the kernel
files. Alsa-lib comes with it

Has anyone got an idea concerning the m-audio audiophile asound.conf?
Actually I got a tiny step forward in that I saw that with certain
formats put into the slave section it seems to proceed a bit further,
i.e. using one of
S16_BE S24_BE S24_LE S32_BE S24_3BE
I get the error message:
