I recently updated my machine and kernel to 2.4.26 on slackware 9. I pretty much rebuilt everything. I kept my old information etc. and have pretty much gotten everything where I need it to be except my sound. This an onboard sound card and I have had it working before using the intel8x0 module

Dear penguins, my c-media audio chip on asus motherboard P4533 seems not working in 5+1. I am curently using the alsa driver provided by mandrake 10.0 distribution but if I play a DVD it works only in stero mode even if I configured the player in 5+1. Any comments about it?? Thank you. bye :-) _
