I recently updated my machine and kernel to 2.4.26 on slackware 9. I pretty much rebuilt everything. I kept my old information etc. and have pretty much gotten everything where I need it to be except my sound. This an onboard sound card and I have had it working before using the intel8x0 module. When I try to modprobe I am getting this for a response. I have used tthe latest alsa-drivers
/lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/sound/pci/snd-intel8x0.o: init_module: No such device /lib/modules/2.4.26/kernel/sound/pci/snd-intel8x0.o: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters.
