Hi,
I am trying to get mplayer to output sound through the SPDIF port on my
Toshiba Satellite 5100 with debian unstable + alsa + kernel 2.6.4.
What alsa configuration option should I use to activate the SPDIF port?
The audio card is an intel I820.
Thanks,

Hi,
I am trying to use a sound card on a MSI KT6V-LSR (VIA KT600), with the
VIA82xx driver. I succeeded in playing sound files, but I have some troubles
with line-in.
I try to use the spdif output (digital speakers): I enabled the loopback for
ac97 with:
options snd-ac97-codec enable_loopbac
