I've got a problem with the pcm volume.
I have an ep-8rda3+ motherboard with nforce2 chipset
kernel 2.4.22
debian woody
alsa 0.9.7.c (i dl it today then i folllowed the cvs instructions)
and i cannot change the volume, i mean it's eiter 0 or 100% with the
pcm. alsamixer or aumix don't have any ef

I have been experimenting a bit, some things seem to work, e.g. I can use
either the left or the right pair of channels.., but --
when I want to start jackd with 4-channel enabled, I get the following errors:

The question is how to set it up to route the signal to the subwoofer?
I've got a simple subwoofer, which is connected to its channel only. I can't believe
such a thing is not supported by ALSA - works fine with the kernel driver as well as
under Windows
