In XMMS, it shows 2 devices with the ALSA output plugin. If I select the second one
with mmap off, and with the .asoundrc of:
pcm.via82xx {
type hw
card 0
device 1
}
ctl.via82xx {

card 0

I get no static. Is there a way to set all other applications to use the same device

Hi. Just came up with a stupid idea of combining multiple stereo
soundcards for "multichannel" recording. Normally the clocks have to be
synced, but in cheap soundcards that´s not possible. But no problem. Just
record simultaneously with all of them, regardless of the different
clocks, even with di
Hello,
I've got a DMX 6fire. Output is working fine, but there are some problems
unsolved:
1. I always got a signal on H/W In 8. The level is very high. If I unmute
this channel I hear a very loud frizzling noise. Anyone knows by what this
is caused?
2. Full Duplex seems not to work. If I try to e

allright - I did so (installed driver,lib and utils 0.9.6) but got this :
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# modprobe snd-intel8x0

Hi all,
I've got an Audigy 2 Platinun Ex and I'm trying to make its remote working.
I saw on some page that you must put the line "options snd-emu10k1 index=0
extin=0x3fcf extout=0x1fcf enable_ir=1" in modules.conf in order to activate it.
I then compiled lirc with the "livedrive_midi" driver.
I'm running 2.6.0-test5 and it's working fine (cs46xx module)...

IIRC, STAC9750 is only a AC97 codec. Th
