Hi!
I think the m-audio delta cards are nice (the small models would suite your
purposes). There are also the terratec cards. But take a good advice don't
mess around with ews64 (xl). I had one and there were certain dificulties.
Take a look at the alsa soundcard matrix, there you will find the s

Ok, so i posted to the list a week ago with a SB Live value problem of
constant high pitched ringing instead of PCM audio. After trying the
card with OSS drivers and a knoppix boot disc, i'm gonna put money on it
being a trashed card.

Hi guys. My first post here so hello to you all!
I have a project which I've just started, that requires me to install
various things on Linux (new to Linux). I'm using Yellow Dog 3.0, which
runs on an OSX Mac powerbook G4.
I've downloaded and installed the full suite of ALSA software but am h

Hi,
I have a Terratec Aureon 5.1 Fun and alsa 0.9.3 on RedHat 9. I use
gnome-alsamixer for setting the volume and there's a switch in
gnome-alsamixer called "IEC958 Input". I guess that's what you're looking
for. So, you might wanna try upgrading to alsa 0.9.3 and/or try
gnome-alsamixer.
HTH,
Levi
