Installed ALSA on my 2.4.20 Debian box successfully with my Intel8x0
driver (can play MP3s with Xmms or MIDIs with Timidity).
Can also successfully plug in my Evolution MK225c keyboard and see it
generate signals by running "aseqview -s72:0" but dont see my soundcard
with "aconnect -lo"

I'm the owner of a Terratec EWX 24/96 soundcard.
In my opinion only a Linux guru, a magician, or at best a very lucky
person may get sound from this souncard.
Yes, I'm not so clever and expert but I think that ALSA maintainers
could be more precise and say that enabling this souncard

The soundcard is an ALi 5451. I have installed alsasource 0.5.12a and the
compilation went OK. Besides, the system freeze when i try to load the
