[AFMUG] Cable Spooler

I'm sure something exists, but I can't find the right term. Is there a cheap/easy way of spooling up small cable spools. 12"-18" diameter wooden spools. I was thinking like a small tire or something in a drill to hold against the edge of the spool to spin it while another person guides the w

If your new wooden real has a steel bolt in the middle, a cordless drill. If you don't have an axle in the middle, probably stuck with a motor + tire to spin it up. On Tue, Apr 25, 2023 at 10:55 AM Nate Burke wrote: > I'm sure something exists, but I can't find the right term. Is there a > che

Heavy duty lazy susan can help. Or, you can get conveyor rollers, the kinds with the skate wheel bearing in the end of thin wall tubing, and build a stand that let you roll them on the side. Vevor has cheap motorized rotary tables that you could use but they are probably pretty slow. As far

Hmmm, threaded rod long enough to go through the spool and leave room to attach drill on end. Two large washers and two nuts same as threaded rod. Insert rod through spool and place a large washer on either side of spool. tighten the nuts just enough to provide tension to spin the spool. Turn

Yeah it's funny I never looked for one until you asked, but there don't seem to be a lot of options for motorized reel winders of that size. It's kind of a white whale. Maybe a motorized rotating machine in your workplace might create OSHA issues for you to worry about, and maybe you wouldn't wa

Lowering your hold timer to 45s with 15s keep alive is a quick solution to no BFD, I've not had any issues with that. Taking a default route and full tables will keep you up while you reconverge. You can always filter the full table down if you don't want all of it. Make sure you run 7.8+ on softwa
