I will say that we in the USA have a terrible habit of pinning the
economy on our politicians. When things go up each party will take
credit, and when they go down each party will blame the other.
In reality the economy of the nation is driven mostly by the chaotic
stew of everyday decisions
I think the Executive's words can influence confidence in the economy. I
want a successful salesman in that position, not someone with a "those jobs
are never coming back" attitude.

My rule of thumb is 10% of your AH. 400ah of batteries would be a 40a
charger. Float the charge voltage as per battery specs.
