Oh. I think I've seen that somewhere. I think they say that it's supposed to provide lower friction for blowing. I never tried it as I though things would get caught on the ridges. I guess it might actually be stronger in direct burial if they didn't thin the wall

There will be a pattern. I would normally expect them to be in the brochure or spec sheet for the antenna. But parabolic dishes all have a very similar set of sidelobes. First set of sidelobes are down 20 dB or so from the main. And are a couuple of degrees away from the main boresight lobe.

We were aligning an RFS 18ghz dish, and the climber said that he found a bunch of Sidelobes as he was moving it around. I went looking for the RF pattern of the dish to see what they looked like, with the Centerline and the peaks and valleys going away from it, but I don't find the RF pattern
