products more than once.
Several products we use (not aix or tsm) that vendors had indicated did not
need patching have

The excludes for DFS come from VSS, which TSM queries upon startup. This
is why using PRESCHEDULECMD to stop DFS before the backup begins does not
help: because by the time the client runs the PRESCHEDULECMD command, the

I'm rebooting my AIX and Linux boxes only when I'm upgrading OS and some
other most important parts of OS.
But if you want to upgrade clients you need to check are Schedules, CAD
and Web client demons are started and to check will they be started afrer
reboot.
