Thanks,

Hey Sandra,
I do not think myself to be an expert at this, but I have recently been

these are backups using the R3 tdp (backint). Perhaps someone can advise

Greetings all,
Does anyone out there back up z/OS USS filesystems to a non-z/OS TSM

without the z/OS server is via special bid.

Hello All!
I am testing NDMP backups/restores with our TSM 5.2.2.5 server which
resides on AIX 5.2 os. We have a Windows 2000 client installed on a server

We just implemented TSM NDMP Backup for our Filer. All the Volumes backed up
successfully. But when I launched the Web Client to look for File Level Information,
there is none. All that comes up on the Restore window are the NAS Volumes.
I then tried to go into the Backup to test a backup and eve

I've used the web client GUI to look at file level details of Celerra NDMP
backups.
The two problems I needed to sort out were that the file level detail would
not show up in the (non-web) Windows GUI restore interface, and that the
dsmcad equivalent service on Windows needed to be stopped and re-

That will back up the directory structures in the unwanted directories, but
not the files. If you can live with that then you're good to go. If you
really want those directory structures excluded as well, you'll need to add
an exclude.dir statement for each one you don't want. This is fine if

How about:
Exclude d:\...\*
Include d:\test1\...\*
Include d:\test2\...\*
That kind of thing is not very efficient, though. Better
to set up a client schedule which simply names those two

Hello TSM'rs
I have recently implemented a Linux TSM environment using the Server to Server
Virtual Volumes.
ServerA receives all client backups to a file based library. ServerA replicates
its file based library to identically configured ServerB.
ServerB has the ADIC 7 Slot autochanger attached.

I am having the same problem of not being able to see File Level Data using the Web
Interface.
What changes have to be made to the dsm.opt file?
