I have here our preferred method for starting Rman with the TSM Scheduler: When using the TSM scheduler to automate the TDP Oracle backups, the differences in how these two clients work must be taken into account. - The scheduler runs as root and would need passwordaccess generate. - The TDP Or

This may be a math problem. How much data are you trying to send over the T1 daily. A T1 is 1.454Mbits/sec which after taking your stack overhead off is about 1.1Mbits or about 145KBytes/sec. In 24 hours you can send about 12.5GB. So, just remind your auditors this is the case and they need to

Still working fine, though one of the people on the list called me and apparently had a problem with W2K systemobjects not expiring. He thought it was related to the upgrade. We have not seen it because we do not have that may W2K clients; all are data, SQL, or Exchange machines. Paul D. Seay,

Every node id you define participates in the license audit. Let's say you are licensed for 30 machines with 2 processors. If you defined 150 nodes, you would have to register 150 license nodes in TSM, but you are still only running on 30 machines. If you only install the client on 30 machines y

As far as growth projections and justifications for additional TSM resources, it is pretty simple. TSM grows for two reasons: More clients, and larger clients. Only you can project how many clients you'll have. I project the size of those clients by how large a PC hard drive I can buy for $150 at
