David,
when you backup a file from a novell file server all file information,
including "file_owner", will be saved.
At restore time all these information will be written to disk. If the
"file_owner" exsist and the volume space is limited
by "user space restrictions" the restore may fail.

Hi Robert!
TSM supports multi-session backup. Multi-session restore is not yet
supported. I heard that it will be implemented in TSM 5.1, so until that
time, you will have to start 3 separate dsmc restore processes, like Bill
suggested.

This could be APAR IC31451, which is known to occur with the 4.2.0 and
4.2.1 ODBC driver. The problem occurs when you have tables from more than

I am not aware of any problems such as you describe when the tables are
linked to a single TSM server.
OK, I can see now once activating the policyset and typing in a q domain

During the initial install on my Win2K server (4.1.4.5), a "Server1" dir
was created. Most of the server config files are now located there. In the
original "Server" directory is a file which contains the sample scripts
called scripts.smp.

We want performing an 'archive' using schedules. A few clients have a lot of

We already encountered the limitation of 20 objects in the object-field, so
we made 3 archive-schedules per system.
You can try using the flag "/persistent:yes" on your NET USE command when

The mapped drive should still be available when you log out.
