Don't know about deleting file. If you indeed want to back up this file but want to
keep only one version then set up a new management class with the parameters you want
for this file and then in dsm.opt of incl/excl file (depending on client system) put
this line:
include/.../filetobacku
set actlogretention 1
This will keep only one days log. It won't immediately delete old stuff (I think it
trims log at midnight or something) Do you really only want to keep one days log? I
like to keep 7 days for tracing problems, especially over a long weekend.

policies, and bind just that one file to the different management class with
an INCLUDE statement:

query request and reply commands & physically mount the volume in the drive
