Hello !!
I don't understand why you need four admin schedules to start and other four fro
stop.
I use two:
upd stg stgpool hi=1 lo=0 ( for start migration )
upd stg stgpool hi=100 lo=99 ( for stop migration )
Good luck

Valeriano - A variety of factors are involved
Your collocation specification can cause many tapes to be mounted as
files are "delivered" to their appropriate places in the next
storage pool. Database cache hit ratio performa
Additionally, from your browser you also have an acrobat toolbar (in IE
and NS). You can save a copy with that, too. You are going to have to
wait for it to download anyway, and this is simpler than turning stuff

That's a well-known defect in that level of ADSM: you would need
to go to a higher level if the defect is an issue for your site.

Hi,
My site is in the process of doing a new install
of TSM on a new RS/6000 SP system.
The version of TSM that IBM ordered & shipped with
the system is 3.7, not 4.1.
Did TSM V4.1 come out very recently, like in the
past 30 days? If so, does anyone know if there's
a free upgrade path from 3.7

I have found that single drive reclamation can get into a loop when a file
is encountered that is larger than the interim storage pool. For example,
tape reclamation writes the contents of reclaimable tapes to a sequential
volume on disk. If the contents of the tape is a fragment of a file that is
I am curious as to what you all set your reclamation thresholds at. Mine
are currently holding at 60% and at some sites I have the time to bring it
down even further. Is it worth it to do so? When does it become a waste of
time? I just hate knowing that there are tapes out there that are half
That depends on the installation. Do you have enough scratch tapes to
comfortably get the job done? If not, you must reclaim tapes. The answer
really depends on the environment you find yourself involved with.

Yes, I have one customer using the TSM 3.7 (ADSM in the past) on NT 4.0 SP5

Yes, you could read the data IF you also have a copy of the *SM database
