The commands provided for thsi case of moving tapes out of a full librray are: QUERY MEDIA MOVE MEDIA Look at syntax. Q Media allows you to specify a date used range so you can print a list of say tapes not used in 30 days. Then use those parameters on move media to take those tapes out of libra

We are running TSM 5.5.4.3 on RHEL 5.5. Our tape library is a 3584 with ALMS and twelve 3592-E05 drives. Expiration and reclamation are not producing enough scratch tapes to stay ahead of their usage, so our scratch tape supply is dwindling (#18). More tapes are on the way, but only 15 empty
