Hi Leif!
Thanks for your reply! The strange thing is that this is not mentioned in the
installation manual. There is only a link called "Proxy node definitions for
VSS backups" but we are using legacy backups...

Hi Eric,
No. You should just be able to use legacy style backups.
My guess is that the configuration wizard inadvertently added some entries
causing this.

Eric,
It's a documentation issue.
They repackaged the SQL client inside the Flashcopy manager GUI, and the

After you run the setup.exe, all you have installed is the Flashcopy Manager

Hi Eric,
This is expected. FlashCopy Manager, Data Protection for SQL,
and Data Protection for Exchange now share the same
MMC GUI interface.
To make sure you have the correct product installed,
look for a file called "sqlclient.lic" in the
C:\Program Files\Tivoli\TSM\TDPSql directory.
Thanks,
Eric,
You cannot do this. You must log on to the TSM Server under the
NODENAME that performed the backups. The "Direct Query"
function in version 1 worked the same way.
It allowed you to query a specific server and database name,
but the NODENAME queried was always the one logged in to.
