it by installing a later version of the client (5.5.4).
Thanks & Regards

Hi all,
I am trying to install the TSM client on Red Hat linux version ES 5.7.
TIVsm-API-5.2.0-0 has installed OK via the rpm command however I have run into
the problem below:
rpm -i TIVsm-BA.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 is needed by TIVsm-BA-5.2.
Hi Tim,
No special steps should be necessary.
You should observe the following:
1. The restore method you mentioned works fairly well for Windows 2003, but
is not "best practice" for Windows Vista and higher. Rather, you should use
WinPE and ASR as outlined here:

But, it was a 6.2 problem. This Client is 5.5.
It doesn't mean that it isn't still a problem though.
...so, nothing else is obviously wrong.
I will kill and restart the scheduler. As long as they stay mounted the
error should not appear.
If I could I'd use the dsmcad. That would be a better fi
Nope. It was backed up with 6.3 and attempting to restore with 6.3. even
went so far as try the latest 6.3.0.16 patch. Plus the error isn't that
specific. The error returned by the VADP api is "A specified parameter is
not correct". It would be nice if it actually said WHAT parameter was
incorrect
Sir:
That is where I've been searching all afternoon.

I need a little help from sone one out there.
Trying to download ibm hsm for windows.
We have purchased it, and I even have the proof of entitlement document.
However, no amount of searching in the ibm download site has lead me to the
product. The closest I've gotten is a quick start guide.

Richard,
Ahh, exactly like exclude.dir, the exclude.fs is processed first. I'll
