If you are having trouble finishing reclaims, you can step down to force
it to do the easy ones first. First reclaim at the 99% level, then 95,

Offsite Reclamation is handled differently than onsite.
Onsite reclamation starts with the most-reclaimable tape (99.9) and does

I'm trying to recover a TSM Database. I can restore it fine without any

All,
I would appreciate hearing/reading other experiences with NDMP TOC
builds and using your TOCs through the TSM Java GUI interface, or
just querying the contents of your TOC.
We're running a dedicated NDMP TSM server 5.3.1.3, pSeries 615, dual
processor, 4GB memory, AIX 5.2, 65GB DB, RAID-5.
Your right, I am on a Windows 2K3 server and I recently migrated from
version 5.2.1.3 to 5.3.2.0. I'll try out those suggestions.

Do you mean that you UPGRADED your TSM server from 4.2.2.8 to 5.3.2.0,
or that you pointed the client to a DIFFERENT server?

Short answer: No worries.
Is it possible to use a mixed (model 3 and model 9) environment for the
TSM DB ? (and reclog and storage pools)

There is not an easy way to do that.
A management class is NOT in use, if there is no file bound to it.
The only place to get that information is to run a SELECT on the entire
BACKUPS table, and that can take a very long time.

If you want them all to run serially, omit all the 'Parallel' and 'serial'

What if I don't want any of these commands to run parallel
can I just set them up to run serially. Also, How would I
