Hans,
I don't believe that 100GB is a "magic" limit. Just doesn't make sense.
The TSM server is a very complex thing; there are many factors affecting
performance, as others have stated. For the record, we run a 370GB TSM on
an HP rp7410 with (8) 875MHz processors and 12GB RAM. This is a Unix

You can tailor a SELECT statement to get the output format you want. Here
is the basic syntax you can work with:
select stgpool_name, \
devclass, \
est_capacity_mb, \
pct_utilized, \
pct_migr, \
highmig, \
lowmig, \
nextstgpo
Hmm... I don't know much about this subject, but it could be a
configuration issue. Is the copygroup's RETINIT setting set to CREATION or
EVENT? Make sure you are using EVENT retention. Also, check that the
Content Manager's TSM device driver is configured with parameter
MODE=RETENTION.
Regards,
Hi all
in august i had a question here about Content manager and TSM Data
Retention. Unfortunately I got no answer
In that problem I got the message
ANR0496E ... verb (BackInsNormEnhanced) is not allowed when archive
retention is active..
Does anyone know the exact meaning of that message? I

Indeed the output from the q stgpool seems to be changed and it also
re-introduced an old bug again: IC37161.
Issuing a q stgpool f=gui causes the following error:
ANRD ThreadId<15> issued message 486 from: <-0x00010001c470 outMsgf
<-0x000100482de8 smEndMessage <-0x0001004858bc sm
Possibly the Help command may reflect the newer output format.
In any case, it's worth sending feedback through the formal channels
regarding lack of doc in the manual.

Hi,
Thanks I'll give that a go.

Hi,
I have backups using TDP for Oracle of my rman catalog database. These are done
in nocatalog mode, so the records of the backup are kept in the database
control file. My problem is that I now have files in a filespace that are no
longer referenced by rman and I do not know how to delete them
As far as I know, this output format was since 5.2.2 version, by my archive
logs (maybe since 5.2.1, but I am not sure that). No other stgpool output
format is possible, as I know. But I didnt found any note nor in PDF doc
neither in readme's about it.

Hi all,
I need advice in restore public folders from one Ex2003 server to another
(into Recovery Storage Group). I had read in some older thread, that it is
possible for Exchange 2003 server with TDP Exchange 5.2.1+. I had tried it,
but with no success.
Env.: TSM server - Win 2003, TSMS v5.2.0.0
3) Use EXPIRATION field , enter a date.

Yes, it is currently Java based and used in conjunction with ISC. It is
only usable with a 5.3.x server as it uses a new version of
verb 0xF1 (VB_AdmCmdResp).
