scriptlets. The event for a client can complete even if the backup
failed/stopped in the middle of a filespace. Have you considered doing

I find it best to install the client onto my desktop and then just logon to
your TSM connection with the node name you are restoring. This was now OPT
files are changed. Just a note: you are unable to backup the node this way

What are you trying to restore?
If you use the GUI you should be able to go to File, Logon and put in the
server name of the server you want to restore FROM and it's ID and password,
just like you were logging on to it. When you open up your Restore window
you will see the server you want to rest

scheduler daemon.

Put the virtualnodename parameter into the command line of the restore
command.
example:
machine1 is where backup was made
machine2 is where restore to be performed

Have you tried looking at the devconfig.out file to see if it shows the
tapes being removed. I have had a problem where it had empty slots but it
would not take a tape. Some of the tapes ended up showing in two different
slots. Once I made all the changes things worked like it should have.

What is the port configuration for machine having problem ? I have seen this prtoblem
on busy networks where clients being backup are on shared ports. Try moving the
device in question to another port where you currently have a device that is not
experiencing the problem. See if the problem
