Please Note - the installation guide (on Pg. 7) of the TDP for Oracle
manual for Unix mentions that you should refer to Oracle documentation when
linking files. The make command that you ran is used only when Oracle's
documented method fails (We should have been more clear). This is what

Yes, by default that is the way it is done. After you install TDP on the client, look
in the ..Tivoli/TSM/Mssql directory. The file sqlfull.smp is designed to be copied to
sqlfull.cmd. You need to edit the bat file for directories etc. The backup command
in it wil do a full backup of ALL DB

I created a new ADSM server at 4.1.2 level and try to access a tape when no
drives are available it immediately fails. 3.1.2.41 did not behave this
way.
What parameter do I need to change to make the process wait for a tape

info that i'd want to see, especially at startup. A tail -f on the
dsmserv.console file shows everything...
I have seen something like this in another context. The volume
truely contains no data. However, the code to delete a volume is
called only when reclamation removes the last file. Since there are
no files being removed, the code never gets called.
Simple solution is to issue the "delete volume

I control my FULL backups by using SERVER SCRIPTS that change the
COPY MODE of the MANAGEMENT CLASS to ABSOLUTE and do an ACTIVATE to put the
change of the POLICY SET into use. Then the backup for servers using that
MANAGEMENT CLASS will be doing FULLS. Right after the backup starts
I use this method to run from inittab.
