But it's best to deal with the tape data in whatever manner is
appropriate and then get it out of the library so that a good
tape can be available.
once you checkout bad tape , and will be not using , there is no question to
tell ADSM that tape is bad ,
since it will be not in the library, just run audit library command after
ejecting tape.

Tom, I usually see sense errors when there are problems with the tape
drives. You may want to open the library up and check for any messages on
the drive displays. I believe these messages mean that the drives are
attempting to correct a problem.
