[Bug 395919] [NEW] network manager takes long time to connect then connection drops
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager-gnome I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 (64-bit edition) and my wireless connection takes ages to connect and sometimes fails to connect at all, then when you first go to use the internet the connection drops and then re- establishes. My wireless card uses the ath9k driver and up until recently it had been very reliable. Once the connection re-establishes it stays up fine. Worth mentioning here that my laptop runs a lot hotter in Lucid than in Karmic too. The fan is constantly running. [Bug 661759] Re: HP G62-a50SM battery status
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 410604 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/410604 This is definitely not a duplicate of 410604. The percentage charge reports fine although the capacity figures vary each time I boot up. The time remaining can't calculate as the charge / discharge rate is not reported for some reason in this bug. Completely different to the 'duplicate' case -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661759 Title: HP G62-a50SM battery status -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 661759] Re: HP G62-a50SM battery status
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 410604 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/410604 I have this bug on my G62-b13SA and have upgraded the BIOS to F.46 but the problem persists. That said, in Win 7 I don't get any estimate of how long is left either which suggests it may be a hardware issue on the laptop itself -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/661759 Title: HP G62-a50SM battery status -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 774029] Re: [Natty] Evolution window cannot fit in 1024 width
+1 for this one. A real problem on my daughter's eeepc 701 which has a small screen which only goes to 800 pixels wide. This is a major regression -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/774029 Title: [Natty] Evolution window cannot fit in 1024 width -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 563156] Re: [ATI Graphics][Lucid] laptop runs hot, shorter battery life, fan always on
@userdce It's not the card, it's the open source driver which in my view is still very much under development. The proprietary driver should be available which has been proven to resolve the issue. As described above, my laptop runs nearer 40 degrees C with the proprietary driver and it's a steady climb to around the 60 mark with the open source one. Ranting about the card isn't going to help anyone reach a solution. -- [ATI Graphics][Lucid] laptop runs hot, shorter battery life, fan always on https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/563156 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 563156] Re: [ATI Graphics][Lucid] laptop runs hot, shorter battery life, fan always on
I agree, being able to rely on hibernate / suspend would be a major benefit which I can't do confidently right now -- [ATI Graphics][Lucid] laptop runs hot, shorter battery life, fan always on https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/563156 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
