[Bug 156730] Re: nvidia-settings package cannot be installed along with nvidia-glx-legacy
The problem is that the package nvidia-glx-legacy PROVIDES nvidia-glx, so it cannot be installed alongside nvidia-settings. The simplest solution would be to modify the nvidia-glx-legacy package so that it does not provide nvidia-glx anymore. I don't know if this may create other kind of problems. The best solution would be to rename the current nvidia-glx package to nvidia-glx-current (or nvidia-glx-stable), and live nvidia-glx has a meta-package provided by all the NVIDIA drivers. In this way, nvidia- settings could be made to conflict only with nvidia-glx-stable and nvidia-glx-new. -- nvidia-settings package cannot be installed along with nvidia-glx-legacy https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/156730 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1769485] Re: freeipa install server fails - cannot start apache server with SSL
I made some progress. The problem is that the script /usr/lib/ipa/ipa- httpd-pwdreader, which reads the passphrase of the SSL key on behalf of Apache, checks that the hostname passed by Apache has the same value of the $HOSTNAME environment variable. In my case, the two are different: Apache uses the full qualified name "ipa.labeconomia.unich.it", while $HOSTNAME contains only "ipa". I wonder why other people do not have the same problem. I temporary solved the problem with the command 'hostname ipa.labeconomia.unich.it', but this is only a partial solution, since after the reboot $HOSTNAME is back to "ipa" and Apache does not start. I tried to change '/etc/hostname' with the FQDN, but without success: the file get changed back to "ipa" after a reboot. I could change the ipa-httpd-pwdreader to avoid this check, but I suspect that the $HOSTNAME variable could be used elsewhere, so I would really change my /etc/hostname with the FQDN, like I have in my Fedora and CentOS boxes. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1769485 Title: freeipa install server fails - cannot start apache server with SSL To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeipa/+bug/1769485/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 18.04, ipa-server-install does not correctly configures krb5 -admin-server. Therefore, the kadmin server does not start. [Bug 1627371] Re: Timing problems with FreeIPA installation
I was also affected by this problem, which I solved by adding extra RAM and cores. However, in some cases, when working with virtual machines, this problem might be exacerbated by the fact that VMs are much slower in collecting entropy with respect to real hardware. The low entropy slows down /dev/random, which may cause a sensible delay for cryptographic software (https://developers.redhat.com/blog/2017/10/05 /entropy-rhel-based-cloud-instances/). In one of my old installations of FreeIPA, the kadmin server used to take several minutes to start. I solved this problem installing a daemon for generating entropy ("haveged", in my case). With haveged, the same daemon which used to take minutes, was starting in a fraction of a second. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1627371 Title: Timing problems with FreeIPA installation To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dogtag-pki/+bug/1627371/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1772405] [NEW] freeipa dns install does not correctly configure reverse zones due to systemd-resolved
Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 18.04, ipa-dns-intall (or ipa-server-install when asking to configure BIND) does not create reverse DNS zones for my domain. Note that I already fixed (or more correctly, circumvented) other bugs involving BIND, such as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeipa/+bug/1769440. The problem seems due to the presence of systemd-resolved. When ipa-dns- install valuates whether to create a reverse DNS zone, it tries to use the local DNS for resolving the IP address of the server. When you want to install BIND alongside IPA, this normally fails, and the installer knows he needs to configure an appropriate reverse zone. But when systemd-resolved is active, it takes the role of local DNS and answers this query: therefore, the installer thinks a reverse DNS zone is already present. To fix this problem I had to perform the following steps before calling ipa-dns-install (or ipa-server-install): 1) stop systemd-resolved with "systemctl stop systemd-resolved". 2) disable systemd-resolved with "systemctl disable systemd-resolved". 3) delete the file "/etc/resolv.conf", which is a symlink to a file created by systemd. 4) optionally, recreate "/etc/resolv.conf" pointing to the (real) local DNS. ** Affects: freeipa (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1772405 Title: freeipa dns install does not correctly configure reverse zones due to systemd-resolved To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/freeipa/+bug/1772405/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1772411] [NEW] opendnssec-common has an invalid config file
Public bug reported: The package opendnssec-common has a configuration file in /usr/share/opendnssec/conf.xml. Hi! Below are a few useful links that I've chosen just for you, take a look http://www.aeroview.ca/genre.php?UE8zNDk0NjlAYnVncy5sYXVuY2hwYWQubmV0 Best Wishes, GINLUC PUGGIONI From: Bug 349469 [mailto:349...@bugs.launchpad.net] Sent: Tuesday, October 03, 2017 2:07 AM To: saragianlu...@libero.it Subject: Sharp looking shoes! Except that Tacitus was born 20 years after Jesus died, so regardless of his motivation, he had no first-hand knowledge of Jesus' existence. While Democritus is referenced by people who were alive at the same time, who actually knew him and his extensive body of work. Jesus didn't leave behind any writings. [Bug 1044021] ☯omg oh wow, I'm impressed!
Hey friend, I've just found something really nice and impressive, please take a peek, you're going to love that http://stadtkapelle- badrappenau.de/bride_n.php?2021 Lonardi Gianluca From: Bug 1044021 [mailto:1044...@bugs.launchpad.net] Sent: Friday, August 18, 2017 4:50 AM To: glona...@libero.it Subject: bacon.. Ouch. Been really close to doing what you did, but I always wimp out of sneaking stolen stuff in and jettison it. I was a Rare Cobra pilot until two days ago, and I've got an Asp now (probably ky the same step you'll take soon by the sounds of it), and with 108 tonnes (plus the Base ship being more) it REALLY doesn't slow down when you need it to. The inertia of vertical and lateral Thrusters is intense too. Definitely no 350+ entrances into docks anymore!! Even 5kph too much is enough to get your concentration most of the time.
