Re: [Bug 232350] Re: firefox 3 beta 5 can't loading imges with img tag
Hi Adam, It was not the problem of firefox mozilla. I have sort out the problem. I had to create new user profile for it. I think it was the problem of settings that saved at user's folder in .mozilla folder. This problem spawn by incomplete upgrading of ubuntu 7.10 to 8.04. thanx On Tue, Dec 2, 2008 at 1:56 AM, Adam Niedling <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > ** Changed in: firefox > Status: New => Invalid > > -- > firefox 3 beta 5 can't loading imges with img tag > https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/232350 > You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber > of the bug. > > Status in The Mozilla Firefox Browser: Invalid > Status in XUL + XPCOM application runner: New > Status in "firefox-3.0" source package in Ubuntu: Incomplete > > Bug description: > Binary package hint: firefox-3.0 > > i am using googles apis for charts and map. > when I use src of img tag from http then its not working. > following img tag generate a image for other browsers but not for mozilla. > Whats the region for it > > > http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=bvg&chs=155x150&chd=t:10,50,90,80,40&chds=0,100&chf=c,lg,45,ff,0,76A4FB,0.75&chco=ff0050|00ff00|ff|AA|AA1177&chg=0,10<http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=bvg&chs=155x150&chd=t:10,50,90,80,40&chds=0,100&chf=c,lg,45,ff,0,76A4FB,0.75&chco=ff0050%7C00ff00%7Cff%7CAA%7CAA1177&chg=0,10>" > width="190px;" height="150px;" /> > > > If I am on mistake then send me mail on [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Please send solution immediately. > > Thanx! > > Gaurav Upadhyaya > [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Girnarsoft Inc. jaipur > > ProblemType: Bug > Architecture: i386 > Date: Wed May 21 03:21:37 2008 > DistroRelease: Ubuntu 8.04 > Package: firefox-3.0 3.0~b5+nobinonly-0ubuntu3 > PackageArchitecture: i386 > ProcEnviron: > > > PATH=/home/username/bin:/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin:/usr/games > LANG=en_IN > SHELL=/bin/bash > SourcePackage: firefox-3.0 > Uname: Linux 2.6.24-16-generic i686 > -- firefox 3 beta 5 can't loading imges with img tag https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/232350 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 127593] Re: rhythmbox makes cracking sound when playing
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 116990 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/116990 I recently installed Ubuntu 7.10 and I loved Rhythmbox music player. The sound was perfect on it; no cracking sound at the maximum volume possible. Then I was fiddling with the volume control properties (Ubuntu desktop, not the Rhythmbox volume) by right clicking on the volume icon at the top-right corner of my desktop. All of a sudden I noticed strong cracking sounds. This happens even at low volumes, I tried lowering the master volume and player volume but to no avail. I am 100% sure that there was no cracking earlier. Moreover there is no cracking when I tried playing this song in Totem. Clearly something went wrong with Rhythmbox. Does anyone of you have a clue? [Bug 551010] [NEW] Indicator applet has no tooltips
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: indicator-applet Indicator applet doesn't show me any tooltips. I believe this is a regression from Karmic, as then, the volume and battery icons would display tooltips when hovered over, reporting the current system volume and battery life remaining, respectively. I'm reasonably sure it's because indicator-applet has replaced those two pieces of software, as they used to live in the panel as separate applications. It's useful to have when adjusting the volume by hovering the mouse over the icon, then scrolling the mouse wheel. It provides instant, specific feedback as to the current level of the volume. It's also a way for new users to get acquainted with the functions that each of the panel applets provide without having to blindly click. The clock applet does this, with the tooltip "Click to view your appointments and tasks" when the user hovers the mouse over the date or time. [Bug 527458] Re: please include status messages/tooltips
All I want is the option to change it back to the original functionality. Changing defaults is all well and good, but removing the ability to change them to what users want (Even if those users are few in number) is a bad thing, in my opinion. As was stated above, one of the arguments for button placement was that it wasn't hard to change back. As soon as I know that that can be done for my much-missed notification tooltips, I'll be satisfied. Even hidden as a gconf value, I'd appreciate it. >From my understanding, Linux has been about choice, and even though the look and feel of Ubuntu has changed very, very much over the past few releases, an important point is that it has always retained the ability to be changed back. That stopped first with the new non-interactive notifications (Which I opposed initially, but grew to appreciate; They're quite beautiful and unintrusive) and now these tooltips. -- please include status messages/tooltips https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/527458 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 559779] [NEW] clock-applet weather display doesn't show weather tooltip on top pixel mouseover
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel When the clock-applet is enabled, and a location is set, and the weather is displayed, mousing over the weather will pop up a tooltip showing additional information about the current conditions. However, the top row of pixels of the clock applet above the weather display don't show weather information, but rather, the "Click to view your appointments and tasks" tooltip. It's bothersome, because when one flings the cursor to the edge of the screen onto the weather, one has to then move the mouse down at least one pixel to see weather information. I'm currently running Ubuntu lucid Beta 2 x86, and Clock 2.30.0. What I did: Hover the mouse over the top row of pixels in the weather section of the clock applet What should have happened: A tooltip showing the current weather conditions should have appeared What happened: The tooltip "Click to view your appointments and tasks" appeared ** Affects: gnome-panel (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- clock-applet weather display doesn't show weather tooltip on top pixel mouseover https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/559779 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 521779] Re: lucid keeps freezing on acer aspire one
I've been having this issue, too, but I'm not sure what I could do to add to the information devs need to help fix it. It really sucks to find my laptop frozen after leaving it on overnight to run torrents and the like, and it'd be awesome to see this bug squashed. [Bug 1759751] Re: mysql not downgrading to v5.5 after installing mariadbv10.2 and then purging it completely, mariadb service instance still clashing
Thanks for the feedback. I also feel this is a database related bug. But somewhere I see the gis .so files giving the bug. Related to ubuntu, I want to say, that there were several .so files, which I tried removing while doing a fresh installation of postgres to resolve my issue, but the installation was always picking mariadb-commons files which was named as libmysqlclient.so should there be a standard gis related dependency version that must take place in ubuntu repo to satisfy the other software release/distributions. please clarify If I am being able to point out my issue/concern of reporting this towards ubuntu properly. I will try to provide more related information on your answer, if needed. PS: to replicate the bug, you may install mariadb on ubuntu(version 10.2), then install Postgresql version 9.5 with postgis version 9.2 It crashes with above stated thread topic error. ~Kudos to ubuntu team Yours sincere ubuntu enthusiast -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1759751 Title: mysql not downgrading to v5.5 after installing mariadbv10.2 and then purging it completely, mariadb service instance still clashing To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mysql-5.5/+bug/1759751/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 1451387] Re: [Fujitsu LIFEBOOK LH532] UEFI firmware becomes locked after installing Ubuntu in UEFI mode
Even I am facing something similar. I have Fujitsu laptop (Model: LH532). It had Windows OS. After installing Ubuntu 18.04.1 from USB drive, on restart, laptop just shows "ubuntu" options in boot menu (not showing original BIOS, some new screen). Original BIOS screen does not appear. On selecting "ubuntu" and hitting enter key, nothing happens, so I am stuck with no options to start laptop. Below are the steps that I took. 1. Created bootable USB stick with https://rufus.akeo.ie/ (as recommended on Ubuntu site). 2. Rebooted the laptop. 3. Entered BIOS to change boot order so that USB is checked before HDD. Saved BIOS settings and restarted the laptop. 4. On re-start, options to try or install ubuntu were shown. Selected "try ..." option. 5. System started with Ubuntu (from USB). 6. Selected "Install Ubuntu" application icon when system started. 7. Went through normal question shown in ubuntu installation wizard. 8 Selected option to customize partitions, as I wanted to remove windows and partition it into two - one for / and another for /home. 9. Deleted the partition on which Windows was installed (C:\) and divided that into two partitions. One to install root (/) filesystem and another to install /home. 10. Ubnutu installation started, but after some time got an error "Installer crashed" as Grub could not be installed. 11. Tried to close the installation window, but nothing happened. 12. Restarted the system and again booted from USB. 13. This time I selected "Install ubuntu" option without booting ubuntu from USB in trial mode. 14. Answered installation questions. 15. This selected default option (showing reinstall Ubuntu 18.04.1) -- It was already showing that 18.04.1 is installed in the partition that I selected in earlier install (that failed). 16. Installation completed without any error. System asked to restart to start using Ubnutu installation. 17. Restarted the system. 18. On restart, I am shown a new screen (not the original BIOS or Boot options). Refer video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZkhsKc29Zg. This new screen (BIOS kind of screen) have two tabs - "Boot Menu" and "Application Menu". Under Boot Menu tab, only option available is "ubuntu" which is by default selected. On hitting enter, it tries to do something, but within second it comes back to same screen. Problem: I am stuck with this new BIOS kind of screen with "ubuntu" as only option and that option does not boot system. I have no option to start the system or enter the original BIOS (which is not even visible anymore). Its kind of very strange that machine's BIOS got updated on installing Ubnutu. ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => Confirmed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1451387 Title: [Fujitsu LIFEBOOK LH532] UEFI firmware becomes locked after installing Ubuntu in UEFI mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1451387/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

This saved my life. [Bug 1530405] Re: NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 22s! [kerneloops:814]
I have faced this issue but maybe with different logs(pfa log statement). My laptop is dell 7757 i7 7700+nvidia 1050ti mobile 8gb ram 128gb ssd and 1tb sata, dual boot ubuntu 18.04.1LTS with 4.15 kernel + windows 10 home(although not using much). Sata raid on enabled in dell bios. Earlier tried with sata operation as ahcp. Both gave errors as same. Currently running video mode is xorg session. I was trying to install nvidia drivers(nvidia.run file from nvidia website) but everytime I do or such a computational task comes, this error comes up. Shutdown/reboot also hangs for eternity and have to hard shutdown. Random system hang or trackpad hang is also usual. Tried apci=off in grub, which fix the issues but my i7 runs single core only which is unacceptable. ** Attachment added: "IMG_20181205_023037_HHT.jpg" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1530405/+attachment/5219129/+files/IMG_20181205_023037_HHT.jpg -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1530405 Title: NMI watchdog: BUG: soft lockup - CPU#0 stuck for 22s! [Bug 1774531] Re: [Dell Inspiron 7577] shutdown/reboot hangs
Adding to the above #4, when I start the system, and before logging into ubuntu 18.04 LTS with my username and password. I opened up the console view (tty4). While shutdown down from there and reboot also works fine. I recieve no messages of cpu worker stuck as described above. I think its some other service which hangs the cpu workers(cpu resource deadlock) which starts after logging into the system for the first time. Since its a new laptop I have not installed apps or services to start with init.d and also I have put no triggers for /etc/rc* bluetooth/screen settings. After this I tried installing nvidia drivers for gtx 1050 ti from nvidia site run file I downloaded and it gave an error for nouveau kernel driver. So I turned it off by nvidia's installer helper for this and updated ramfs and did a reboot. No issues for me now, for shutdown/reboot or random system hang after successfully running nvidia graphics. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1774531 Title: [Dell Inspiron 7577] shutdown/reboot hangs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1774531/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
