In the ;To' area I type any name. for example sophie In the past when the full address appeared I could hit enter and the full address was filled in in the To area. But now I get something like this: "Jansen, Sophie" Strange thing is, that when I copy paste this to firefox, I get this: "Jansen, Sophie" , [EMAIL PROTECTED]> Note the extra > here. -- autofill problem evolution enter breaks address https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/300637 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 369885] Re: lightning-extension makes thunderbird crash
I'm also still experiencing this problem. Thunderbird suddenly segfaults after a while. When that happens, I can't start it again (constant segmentation faults) unless I wait about an hour or so. [Bug 369885] Re: lightning-extension makes thunderbird crash
The problem persists after creating a new profile. As stated above, I get following error when running in debug mode: Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault. [Bug 156512] Video corrupt when resizing video player on dual display system.
Public bug reported: I can play video fine when I have a small window, but trying to resize of maximize the video corrupts the screen and slows the computer to a halt. I have a dual wide-screen setup with a nvidia 6600gt video card. I am using the restricted driver (recommended when I booted in the first time). I can play video without trouble when in single screen mode (disabling one of the screens) When both screens are on, I can play video fine if I switch to metacity. When it corrupts, I get purple in the player window, the screen goes blank a couple times, and sometimes the monitors say there is an invalid resolution. Generally I quit gdm before that point and log back in. Any thoughts what might be wrong? [Bug 550173] [NEW] Live tv using PVR-500 unviewable
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mythtv I'm running MythBuntu 8.10 without a problem. Upgrading to 9.04 or 9.10 causes my livetv to be very distorted and basically unviewable. Today I attempted a new 10.04 beta install to see if anything has changed. My problem persists. What I find strange is that when viewing my /dev/videox directly using VLC, I can view the channel perfectly. However, when I first try to view a channel with MythTV and then try to view it using VLC, I get identical problems on the channel. On the other input on the same card, if I haven't used/tried that in mythtv yet, I can use VLC again without a problem. The errors VLC gives (when first viewing the channel with mythtv and then VLC): [0xb6b01ae0] main input error: ES_OUT_SET_(GROUP_)PCR is called too late, increasing pts_delay to 816 ms [0xb6b01ae0] main input error: ES_OUT_RESET_PCR called [0xb6b08fa8] libmpeg2 decoder error: DpbUnlinkPicture called on an invalid picture [0xb6b08fa8] libmpeg2 decoder error: DpbUnlinkPicture called on an invalid picture [0xb6b01ae0] main input error: ES_OUT_SET_(GROUP_)PCR is called too late, increasing pts_delay to 1196 ms [0xb6b01ae0] main input error: ES_OUT_RESET_PCR called [0xb6b08fa8] libmpeg2 decoder error: DpbUnlinkPicture called on an invalid picture [0xb6b08fa8] libmpeg2 decoder error: DpbUnlinkPicture called on an invalid picture [0xb6b01ae0] main input error: ES_OUT_SET_(GROUP_)PCR is called too late, increasing pts_delay to 2471 ms [0xb6b01ae0] main input error: ES_OUT_RESET_PCR called [0xb6b08fa8] libmpeg2 decoder error: DpbUnlinkPicture called on an invalid picture [0xb6b08fa8] libmpeg2 decoder error: DpbUnlinkPicture called on an invalid picture [0xb6b01ae0] main input error: ES_OUT_SET_(GROUP_)PCR is called too late, increasing pts_delay to 4932 ms [0xb6b01ae0] main input error: ES_OUT_RESET_PCR called [0xb6b08fa8] libmpeg2 decoder error: DpbUnlinkPicture called on an invalid picture [0xb6b08fa8] libmpeg2 decoder error: DpbUnlinkPicture called on an invalid picture [0xb6b01ae0] main input error: ES_OUT_SET_(GROUP_)PCR is called too late, increasing pts_delay to 11157 ms [0xb6b01ae0] main input error: ES_OUT_RESET_PCR called [0xb6b08fa8] libmpeg2 decoder error: DpbUnlinkPicture called on an invalid picture [0xb6b08fa8] libmpeg2 decoder error: DpbUnlinkPicture called on an invalid picture [0xb6b01ae0] main input error: ES_OUT_SET_(GROUP_)PCR is called too late, increasing pts_delay to 21711 ms [0xb6b01ae0] main input error: ES_OUT_RESET_PCR called [0xb6b08fa8] libmpeg2 decoder error: DpbUnlinkPicture called on an invalid picture [0xb6b08fa8] libmpeg2 decoder error: DpbUnlinkPicture called on an invalid picture I would think this is not driver or kernel related, since playing TV directly from VLC works. [Bug 550173] Re: Live tv using PVR-500 unviewable
My problems have been resolved by changing the image size in the recording profiles. Strangly, the height was set correctly to 576 but the width was set to 480. Setting it to 768 as indicated in the field help information at the bottom of the screen, was all that was needed to fix my problem. Can't mythtv / mythbuntu set these things to correct default values? [Bug 550173] Re: Live tv using PVR-500 unviewable
I've replaced the firmware files with those from the ivtvdriver.org site. [Bug 510938] Re: 2 Gig limit copying file from samba share.
Thanks for doing all the research. I'm sorry for reporting a bug which in the end seems to be just an configuration isue. However it confuses me that manually mounting the share with lfs option also solves the problem. It was thereby that I was assuming the problem was a bug in gvfs. [Bug 522400] [NEW] /etc/init.d startup scripts are not run at boot
Public bug reported: I am not sure when, but i assume some of the updates broke the boot process and none of the services start during the boot. In addition none of the virttual console terminal start at the boot. The only way to run the system is to login through the gdm, Then anything that is started by gnome works and to fix the services that did not start during the boottime i must start them manually. [Bug 1845801] Re: [nvidia] Automatic login fails and then all subsequent logins fail. Killing gnome-session-binary fixes it, or just not using automatic login.
Problem as described by topic starter also appeared on two computers of mine: 1) An old laptop (Core2Duo and Nvidia GTX260M), that uses Ubuntu from 2015 onwards. 2) A newer desktop (Corei5, Intel graphics card), which started with Ubuntu 19.04. Performed the release upgrade one week after the laptop. What these two computers have in common, and in common with the other poster: automatic login. My fix followed the steps of https://askubuntu.com/a/346795 (resume after failed release upgrade): $ sudo apt-get install -f $ sudo dpkg --configure -a $ sudo apt update $ sudo apt dist-upgrade $ reboot It's an error that probably scares new users, so idd, I think it should receive high priority. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1845801 Title: [nvidia] Automatic login fails and then all subsequent logins fail.
