Hi guys, I had exactly the same problem and solved it by purging (instead of just uninstalling or removing) the postgresql-8.2.
Now everything works fine: the /etc/postgresql has been created along with the startup script. I don't think the difference between remove and purge is obvious and this should be addressed as a more general problem. -- missing /etc/postgresql/ after uninstall/reinstall https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108296 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
