[Bug 1834379] Re: armhf Bionic python3-pygraphviz package errors for simple use case
Hi Emerson I'm looking to sponsor this upload. The version number in your change log conflicts with version 1.4~rc1-1build3 in Cosmic. I've looked at the security team's versioning guidelines [1], and this is an unusual case since Cosmic already has a no-change rebuild. I suggest using 1.4~rc1-1build2.1 for the Bionic upload. [Bug 1834770] [NEW] Black screen when switching the monitor on after upgrade to 18.04
Public bug reported: My PC has an Nvidia G98 video card with a single monitor (HP ZR22w) connected over DisplayPort. When I turn the monitor off and switch it back on, the screen remains black. The monitor displays its "no signal" message. This only happens while logged in, either with the default Gnome-Shell interface or without a desktop environment. More precisely, if the current console is the GUI session on tty2 when I switch the monitor on, the monitor does not receive any signal. If the current console is the Gdm login screen on tty1 or a text mode login screen on tty3, the display turns on normally. Running xrandr shows "DP-2 connected primary 1920x1080+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 475mm x 267mm" when the monitor is on, even when the screen remains black. It shows DP-2 as disconnected while the monitor is off. The attached log file Xorg.1.log shows a session where I log in, then turn the monitor off and turn it back on a few seconds later. X does notice that the monitor has been turned on, yet the screen remains black. Switching consoles after turning the monitor on does not help. To get the display back, the current console has to be something other than the logged-in console at the time the monitor is switched on. Another workaround is to run "xset dpms force off; xset dpms force on" when the screen is black after switching the monitor on. This happens since I upgraded from Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04. I had assistance writing this bug report, I can only type in the terminal whatever I am told. In contrast to eog, gthumb does detect this situation and displays a dialog with the following text: This transformation may introduce small image distortions along one or more edges, because the image dimensions are not multiples of 8. The distortion is reversible, however. If the resulting image is unacceptable, simply apply the reverse transformation to return to the original image. You can also choose to discard (or trim) any untransformable edge pixels. For practical use, this mode gives the best looking results, but the transformation is not strictly lossless anymore. [Bug 1834773] Re: weather data
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I noticed that you are installing an End of Life version of Ubuntu, unless you have some specific requirements to run an older insecure release I recommend trying to install the latest LTS version of Ubuntu. We released version 16.04, in April of 2016, and it is a Long Term Support release. You can find different ways to obtain it at http://download.ubuntu.com. Thanks! [This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.] ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1834773 Title: weather data To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/1834773/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1834778] [NEW] Nvidia: external monitor not recognized any more since 4.18.0-24
Public bug reported: Hi, Notebook, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with kernel 4.18 hwe. Since 4.18.0-24 my external monitors are not recognized. xrandr lists the internal screen only. If I boot 4.18.0-23, everything is fine (glad to have that fallback). Update to 4.18.0-25 did not change the problem. Is this the right place for the bug report? Additional info: I'm using the Nvidia binary driver 415.27. If I boot kernel 4.18.0.24 or 4.18.0.25 the Nvidia-settings are "empty", just a frame with a close button, this is also buggy, with kernel 4.18.0.23 the nvidia-setting look normal. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1834778 Title: Nvidia: external monitor not recognized any more since 4.18.0-24 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-meta-hwe/+bug/1834778/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1834782] Re: ASUS Zenbook UX433FN: sound stops working after a couple of seconds
I am not sure if this is a kernel/FW issue, as the soundcard is recognized and the sound playes at first. On the other hand there were not changes/updates to alsa, pulseaudio and the sound used to work ok before. These problems started to appear cca a month ago(?) but usually "some trick" made it work again (I didn't identify exactly what), like ++volume key after the sound stoped working, this does not help anymore. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1834782 Title: ASUS Zenbook UX433FN: sound stops working after a couple of seconds To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1834782/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1759836] Re: systemd-udevd consumes 100% of CPU
Mortimer, it's still available at the Google cache: https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:Ulh1YXwMuK8J:https://dev.getsol.us/T5224 It appears that the fix there addresses the same file and the same line in that file. However, the lines are simply being deleted there & it breaks Bluetooth so I wouldn't go that route (though at the time I did due to not knowing any better). They are also placing it at a different location, /etc/udev/rules.d/, and I don't know the significance of that. And to address what others are saying, yes, hand editing a system file (and one, at that, which is headed by the comment line "# do not edit this file, it will be overwritten on update") is not an optimal solution. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1759836 Title: systemd-udevd consumes 100% of CPU To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/kernel/+bug/1759836/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1834779] Re: equivs-build: fatal error occurred while parsing debian/changelog
This indicates an error in your input file. I'm guessing the parenthesized number in the Source: field is what causes the parse error, but I'm not in a place where I can check this. equivs-build uses the data in your input file to populate a number of templates which are required in all Debian packages. Sometimes errors are passed through and cause one of the build toolchain utilities to fail with an error.
