[Talks] 2 issues following latest release.
Hi All. Well now I'm getting used to the new release of Talks I have found 2 issues that are of concern to me - that is to say one is an ongoing existing issue and one is new. Firstly, I notice that the issue of Talks changing voices sometimes say when a call is engaged and one is i using Vocaliser still hasn't been fixed. Secondly, I have found a new issue that wasn't occurring until the latest upgrade. When I send a tweet, each time I type a word Talks says "Text Area! and this is after each word. It also sometimes reads the whole line to me rather than what I'm typing. As I say this never happened in previous versions. Thanks. [Talks] Email on cell phone
Hi everyone. I now have TALKS v5.cj. I have a gmail account on my nokia e52 that I use to forward YouTube videos to that people send me. Before I had v5.30, it wouldn't say anything and it wouldn't open the link. Now, it just says "browser" and still doesn't open the link. If I press the select button, it gives me options like "reply" and "forward". How can I open the link? Re: [Talks] Email on cell phone
Email just does not work! Seems like Nuance has thrown in the towel. The feeble tweaks they give Talks with every new release are pathetic to say the least. They have assigned one or two novice software engineers to do the Talks update. They are just not interested. Pity. Not only email glitches! Even web browser accessibility has taken a hit. I can no longer select from combo boxes. Also entry in text boxes is dicey. The good old N series and old Talks were a gold standard. The new phones are not just Talks compatible. And Talks is not interested in making them! Talks R.I.p. :( -original message- Subject: [Talks] Email on cell phone From: "Haya Simkin" Date: 12.03.2012 8.46 pm Hi everyone. I now have TALKS v5.cj. Instead of ripping the software why dont you submit exact bug reports to the list so the dealers can submit the problems to the developers. - Original Message - From: To: "Talks Mailing List" Sent: Monday, March 12, 2012 3:03 PM Subject: Re: [Talks] Email on cell phone Email just does not work! Re: [Talks] Email on cell phone
I'm curious, where do you get your information on Nuance's staffing of Talks? For example, I wasn't aware that they just had one or two novice developers working on Talks at the moment. I have the cursor set to letters. I doon't ever see any options except for email-related ones like "reply" and "forward". It's too bad that it doesn't seem to work. Re: [Talks] Email on cell phone
Well, I'm not familiar with your phone or it's email client, but on my phone, I need to do the following in a text message: 1) Make sure cursor is set to original 2) Make sure autofind is set to off 3) Now using the left and right arrow keys will move between the objects in the message, such as links, phone numbers, ... 4) Once an object has the focus, you'll get the corresponding options for that object, such as opening up a link I hope this helps! Re: [Talks] Email on cell phone
Your advice really did help. I had the cursor to set to letters so I could arrow through text. However, I switched to original and that helped a lot.
