I suggest you try running a cable from the line in jack of your sound card

RE: Reinstalling Sound Card Software

2007-03-16 Thread Judy W

don't do it without
1. using your on board card. You won't be able to hear your screen reader.

2. use sighted assistance.
3. Use an external synthesizer.

Hello, I am going to try reinstalling the software from the CD for my Sound
Blaster Audagy 2ZS soundcard. I would like to know do I have to unload
Window Eyes? Does there need to be no sound? Will it mess anything up when
installing it with Window Eyes running? If so, how do I switch to my onboard
soundcard? Thanks, Samuel.

Re: GoldWave Question

2007-03-16 Thread Dana S. Leslie
Mary,''

In Goldwave, go to Options, Control Properties. On the Volume tab, make sure
the Volume Device drop-down is set to the card you want to record from - the
one you have the break-out box plugged into. Also, make sure the
line-in/mic-in check box is checked, assuming that's where you have the
break-out box plugged into the card. Also, on the Device tab, make sure you
have the Record Device set to the card from which you are recording, and the
record quality set appropriately.

Yes,

Press F11 and right arrow to the devices tab and then tab down till you find
the recording device and you can change it there. Then if you tab back up
to the tabs and arrow to the volume tab you can adjust your volume for the
device there.

I think I know where you may be
able to locate the connector, and I think it's still called a barrel
connector; only you want dual females, not dual males...
I'll give it a shot this weekend on a few sources I have.

Re: Reinstalling Sound Card Software

2007-03-16 Thread Cornell Ligon
should be able to go into properties of the soundcard and update driver that
way, or go to website of manufacturer and download it.

Best Regards,
Cornell

But I don't have an external synth. How do I skip to the on board card?

RE: Reinstalling Sound Card Software

2007-03-16 Thread Judy W

In theory, this works. When I did it, after the reboot, my drivers didn't
initialize and I was stuck with a silent machine.

If you are using Jaws, call tech support or find someone who knows how to
change the jaws.ini file to work with the on board card. Hope it hasn't been
disabled.

This is a task that needs to be done carefully.

Just my opinion,

Judy

Re: Internet radio

2007-03-16 Thread Richard Claypool
don't count on l365 being around much longer. With the wisdom of our
congress, the royalties are going to go up a lot higher, and I suspect l365
will go bye byes.
