In theory, this works. When I did it, after the reboot, my drivers didn't
initialize and I was stuck with a silent machine.

If you are using Jaws, call tech support or find someone who knows how to
change the jaws.ini file to work with the on board card. Hope it hasn't been
disabled.

This is a task that needs to be done carefully.

should be able to go into properties of the soundcard and update driver that
way, or go to website of manufacturer and download it.
